Belinal® is powerful natural free radical scavenger. It neutralizes free radicals before they can cause any damage by oxidative stress. As a super antioxidant Belinal® stimulates cells to increase antioxidant powers and it captures free radicals in the blood stream.

Antioxidant activity of Belinal® is one of the basic mechanisms that contribute to all other activities. There are several different tests available to measure antioxidant activity. Anti-oxidant activity of Belinal® was higher than anti-oxidant activity of resveratrol. It was double of that of a vitamin E and almost four times of the levels of the catechins from a green tea.

Belinal® silver fir branch extract showed strong intracellular antioxidant effect in the yeast cells which were used as eukaryotic cell model. Samples from two consecutive batches had highly reproducible effects and in both batches the effect increased with concentration. Belinal® had greater activity than Vitamin C, Resveratrol, Vitamin E and BHT.

This way, we also obtained indirect evidence that the components of Belinal® successfully pass through the cell membrane.
